Vestavia PD arrest suspect in Cahaba Heights car burglaries | News

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL (WBRC)- Vestavia Hills Police announced that they have arrested and charged a man in connection to multiple car burglaries.
Billy Tidwell, 24 of Birmingham has been charged with one count of unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
Police say this investigation is ongoing and they may file more charges. The burglaries happened last week in Cahaba Heights. Between 14 and 20 cars were burglarized overnight on Christopher Drive and Mill Haven Road. At the time, investigators believe a suspect or a group of people were reponsibile for the burglaries.
Investigators also told FOX6 News forced entry was not used to gain entry to any of the vehicles.
