BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC)- At least one person is injured after a car went of the roadway on Lakeshore Parkway and caught on fire.
Birmingham Fire Battalion Chief Decimus Williamson says that an adult male and an adult child were in the vehicle. They were alerted of the accident after a 911 call and found the vehicle had traveled off the roadway from Lakeshore Parkway down a hill into a ravine.
The car had caught fire when officials arrived on the scene but it was extinguished. The adult male was taken to UAB for evaluation; Williamson says that he had head injuries. Williamson adds that relatives took the male child from the scene.
