HOMEWOOD, AL (WBRC)- Patriot Park in west Homewood will be covered with brightly colored inflatables, rides for kids, and arts and crafts vendors this Saturday, May 4, as the city celebrates We Love Homewood Day 2013.
The celebration in the park is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and includes live music performed at the Patriot Park stage. The West Homewood Lions Club will sell Boston butt barbeque and the Rotary Club will have a bake sale in the Homewood Senior Center Auditorium between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The festivities then move eastward with the We Love Homewood parade starting at the Homewood Library at 6 p.m. The parade will travel west along Oxmoor Road before ending in the Edgewood business district.
We Love Homewood Day concludes with more live entertainment and a Street Dance in Edgewood. The Homewood Parks website says Edgewood business owners will stay open to serve food and beverages until 9:30 p.m.
