Barons announce 2013 theme nights and promotions | Sports & Recreation

The Birmingham Barons have announced the 2013 theme nights and nightly promotions for their inaugural season at Regions Field.

Sunday: Salute to Armed Forces presented by DRASH – Active or retired members of the armed services receive a discounted GA ticket with a Military ID
Monday: Business Person Special - Special 11:30 a.m. start times for Monday games April-June
Tuesday: 50-Cent Hot Dog Night presented by Kayem Foods, Mini of Birmingham and the Birmingham Zoo – A fan favorite returns for the 2013 season; Social Media Night
Thursday: Thirsty Thursday presented by Miller Lite and Woodbridge – $2.00 beverages: Another fan favorite returns as 16 oz. drinks are now $2.00
Friday: Friday Night Fireworks presented by Coca-Cola, MBS and Alabama Power
Saturday: Red Diamond and Barber’s Dairy Entertainer Series on select Saturday’s; All-South Appliance grill giveaway each Saturday

Pyro-Palooza VI – The Barons huge Fireworks Spectacular will be held on Saturday, August 3.

Individual theme nights include Star Wars Night, Halloween in May, Christmas in July, Crawfish Boil Night, Football Kickoff Night, Peanut Free Night, Cuatro de Mayo Celebration, Tornado Helmet Awareness Night, Shrimp Boil Night, and a diamond dig. In addition, the team will hold a special team autograph session on June 9th.
