Fifth graders at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School showed up at the Somerby retirement community on Fat Tuesday wearing Mardi Gras costumes, ready to celebrate with a parade for the residents.
The students paraded through the halls of Somerby and handed out Mardi Gras beads to the residents of the retirement community. The students and retirees celebrated with a Mardi Gras-themed party following the parade. Some of the residents kept the parade going even after the students left the party!
